| History |
Owned by Peterson brothers who used her as a back up ferry to French Island. One of the brothers fell off the stern and was drowned. Amanda was pulled out of the water and not used again for eighteen years until found by Tim Phillips in a shed at Hastings. Restored and first raced in Couta Boat Club events by Tim Phillips and sold to the present owners the Ross family. The boat has been a regular participant in Couta Boat events and one of the finest examples of Lacco design. Chris Smith bought the boat in 2003 and successfully circumnavigated Tasmania with his father in 2005. |
