History Believed to be one of four smaller boats built by Gilcraft around this time. Originally called' Wauchope',the boat had a small cabin and was a tender to a larger fishing boat. She was included in the reforming of the Couta Boat fleet and sailed at Sorrento under the ownership of Barry Dawes in the 70's. (Wauchope was originally the name of a Steamer that sank off the Lentel Avenue area in 1918.) In the 80's the 'Wauchope' was sold to Chris Myer at Queenscliff who renamed her 'Merlyn' after his mother. Chris undertook some work on the boat including fitting a centre board case. The boat was purchased by C Montgomery in the 90's and moved to Melbourne renaming her 'Daisy'. 'Daisy' was retuned to Sorrento in 1999 by her current owner and re entered on the register as C 109.
